Эти серверы делятся на три типа: (1) embedding-провайдеры (OpenAI text-embedding-3, Cohere embed, Voyage, локальные через sentence-transformers) — превращают текст в вектор; (2) vector-базы (Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, Chroma, Milvus, pgvector, LanceDB, Turbopuffer) — хранят векторы и ищут ближайшие; (3) RAG-обвязки — комбинируют первые два, добавляя нарезку на чанки, метаданные и rerank. Главный паттерн использования — корпоративная база знаний: документы → embeddings → vector-store; на запрос агент ищет 10 ближайших чанков и подкладывает их в контекст промпта. Такой подход позволяет агенту отвечать на вопросы по документам, которых нет в его обучающей выборке, без файнтюнинга.
